How to make someone up out of a coma?

i know the title may sound silly but I'm 15 boy and my 23 man year old brother got in a motorcycle accident one month ago and basically they didn't think he was going to make it and he has been under sedation for a while now and they stopped it and he was opening his eyes a little and squeezing people's hands but then he had a op to fix his broken elbow so they had to sedate him more which set him back but all the signs show he's improving like breathing on his own etc. so i was wondering if there is anything i could do to try and get him out of his coma which by now is semi comatose (think that's how you spell it) so is there anything i can do i.e playing heavy metal music to him or relaxing music? describing a place to him like heaven or just his house? or maybe even slapping him round the face? any help would be MUCH appreciated :'(

Why do I feel high/low?

Today went like any other day of school (I'm 15) and after I found some friends around my house and started hanging out I started feeling really euphoric like a high from weed. I quit smoking 6 months ago if that matters. I feel sped up but also slowed down. Sometimes feeling impulsive or having an impaired judgment. This sort of thing happens almost every other day but it only lasts for about 30 minutes - 2 hours so I just p it by but it's 10:00 pm now and this feeling started at around 5pm. Other days I feel depressed for no reason or just apathetic and I've only had 1 or 2 major feeling like that. I'm also feeling more paranoid the more I think about this high feeling....Am I sick? I don't want people to think I'm on a drug or something, please help!

How do you feed a stray cat?

I live in an apartment complex and there is a stray cat in my neighborhood that I always see out at night and in the early morning, it is always huddled up under a car. I am so scared that I have cancer. I started with a pain in my right lower stomach in January, which I thought was appendicitis but turned out not to be. How long does it take your baby to fall asleep for daytime naps?

My son sleeps wonderfully through the night and at bedtime goes down without any struggle. During the day, however, he fights every nap. I only put him down to sleep when I notice the first signs of sleepiness. He then lays in his crib for a good 10-20 minutes. The first 10 minutes he actually cries, not distressed crying, more like irritable crying, then the last 10-5 minutes he chews on his shirt or fingers and talks to himself as he nods off, occasionally crying out when he realizes that he is falling asleep. After all this, he sleeps for about 30-45 minutes. Does your baby have a process for falling asleep for naps?

What if you can consciously hear yourself sleep talking?

I've recently had a few "episodes" of sleep talking. I've had them before but none as dramatic as these. The last time I physically got up out of bed, threw my pillow against the wall, and told my roommate that I finally got that bug! I know sleep walking and talking aren't necessarily a bad thing, but my real question is, I am sleeping..there is not doubt about that, but I am aware of everything that is going on but i can't stop it. I have to tell myself (in my mind) to tell my roommate im sleeping, and a few seconds later, i tell her im sleeping so she won't hold a conversation with me. Is this a little odd? I'm not sure if I explained it well. But that's how it goes. I have to mentally tell myself before hand to tell whomever is in the room that I'm dreaming, and seconds letter i physically tell them im dreaming. It's just kind of a weird experience. Should I look into it more?

there's this guy that i been liking for 4 months, were both strangers to each other (though i know that hes a junior and im a senior) the story begins 4 months ago, and i hadnt notice him. me and my friend walk to our lunch spot the same way we always had, though theres like 4 different ways to go through. How do I get rid of a canker sore?

I have concluded that I have one on my mouth, close to the edge of my mouth. Help with my rabbit, please?

Alright, I just got a rabbit yesterday, her name is Guinivere but I just call her Guin for short. So I'm incredibly confused right now, I keep finding all over the place that my rabbit should have a litter box. Is this true? And all help I can find is based on cages that have wire mesh on the bottom but mine isn't like that! It's like a HUGE hamster cage, (Trust me, she has plenty of space, 6 feet long, bout 5 feet high) with a plastic bottom and I put a couple of inches of hay at the bottom. I'm replacing it tomorrow with a layer of newspaper and then the hay. But, is there something wrong with that? Is it absolutely necessary for her to have a litter box? I know their very clean animals...also she won't come out of her cage, even when I try to coax her. I'm giving her time and space, so I'm trying just every couple of hours. But she won't come out...also I think she's been regurgitating her food. I know rabbit's don't throw up but next to her food bowl is her food in a pile of mush, it appeared after she made a couple of weird noises. I heard this is normal, that they're recycling but I can't find out much about it! Please help, I want to give her the best and loving home possible!

If it was done with a gun then it sounds like you might have shattered cartalige. If it's been infected for that long then it's only going to get worse and lead to major health problems. If it's infected changing the piercing will be very painful. I suggest you begin disinfecting it, it will sting but it will clean out the bacteria, I'm sure if it's infected you will notice a strange smell coming from the ear infection too. If you manage to treat the infection (which is unlikely this far down the line) then I do NOT suggest keeping the piercing at all. im a junior in high school workin at target right now and have been for 90 days now. I dont expect work to necessarily be fun, but working at target completely sucks. I'm an adopted sixteen year old male (born September 30th, 1993; 6:00AM). I was adopted at the age of five, but prior to this, my father ignored me when I asked for his Help in California, when I kept being abused by my babysitter, and teacher, emotionally, but by the sitter both physically, and emotionally. When I was finally adopted by my current parents, I had some issues, and started recieving help. Then My brother (whom I'm unrelated to) came along, and was adopted by my new parents, and joined the family. He was born May 10th, 2000. When that kid came along things changed, and I missed my family. My parents, Don and Kathy paid attention only to my little brother, who had been adopted as a baby. I remember besides my parents just paying attention to Neil alone, my mom was at work from 6:00AM-11:00PM, Everynight, and I barely saw her. My dad basically just spent nearly all of his time watching football games, and baseball games on tv, and I can only remember two occasions, when he actually spent time with me during my childhood. I eventually retreated to my room, and spent all my time up there, after school everyday, after school, all of the time. I felt ignored, so I started separating myself from my family, and began living almost as if I was an adult, sitting alone in restaurants, and spending lots of time in my room, playing video games. Then, on July 4th, 2007, we went to see fireworks at a cliff, and I was totally ignoring it, and just listening to my ipod, my brother kept telling me to look at the fireworks, as did dad, and as did mom. I ignored them, stayed isolated, and just did my own thing, eventually, they got frustrated, and my mom started attacking me verbally, throwing insults, and cursing me out, as we headed home early. For days afterwards, she did the same thing, and said that "Things were gonna change". Almost immediately, she started disciplinning me, and taking stuff away. She said that I would start spending time with the family, and with Neil especially. But we've reached some concensuses in recent years, and it's only a tenth of what it used to be. Although, I'm so used, to doing my own thing, and feeling like no one pays attention to me at home, that when I go off, and do something, my mom starts to cry, and I get scared, because I'm afraid she will start getting destructive again, and try to bring back the old , stricter rules. So I obey, out of fear, and I'm tired of living like this, being afraid that she will do something out of anger, just to make me spend time with the family, and it started when I was seven, I'm just so used to it now! I'v been having violent tendencies towards my new family, I remember, once a couple months ago, I was so tired of the BS that I literally attacked my dad, but he thought I was just playing around, and I injured him kind of bad. I'v been sick of this, being their punching bag, and I want to be the abuser just once! I just want to kill them, and set those b*tches on fire! I always follow the rules, and never did anything wrong, but my mom is pushing me over the edge, like the rest of my family. My grandmother had to give me up, and thats how I got here. I'm sick of being left behind by people.

My grandfather had surgery about a month ago for a ruptured ulcer. He has been in and out of the hospital for the past 2 months. He went back in a week ago because he was bleeding from his temporary feeding tube and also bleeding from his rectum. The doctors found another mive ulcer in his stomach that was causing the bleeding, but said they couldn't operate, so they gave him medicine. He was supposed to go home tomorrow, but he just started coughing up large amounts of blood about an hour ago, and the doctors won't tell us what is wrong with him. I'm sorry you are going thru this. Perhaps ask your vet for a referral to an internal medicine clinic. They will be able to perform an ultrasound to see if there is a tumor or blockage in the abdomen; xrays don't always show these types of things. Or, some vets will have a travelling ultrasonographer come to the clinic. You need to find out why your dog has fevers and losing weight, and i think in your case an u/s is the next step, before exploratory surgery. I'm uming bloodwork and repeat bloodwork has been done? Pancreatitis is a very painful condition as well so if you think he's painful or nauseous, then ask your vet for appropriate meds. They make really good ones for dogs that may help him feel better. Good luck and i hope you find an answer soon.

1999 DODGE RAM 2500 SERIOUS BRAKE PROBLEMS?

My 99 dodge ram 2500 has some serious braking issues. I had a total brake job done 8 months ago. New drums and shoes, new pads, rotors, and calipers. My problem is that the rear drums feels like there sticking. As soon as i pull out the driveway and barely tap the brakes, the rear lock up. And as I drive the rear just stays so stiff when I stop. It's embarring when I go to stop it looks like I'm just hammering down on the brakes. I have to adjust the rear twice a week to loosen it up just to drive it. I took it to Dodge and they said first the abs module, then try something else, and if that dont work then the proportioning valve. Seems like a lot of money just to throw at something that dont fix it. If I do hit the brakes hard enough I can feel the abs in the rear kick in. It does seem like all the pressure is going to the rear to stop me. Is this the proportioning valve causing this? If so how much does it cost? Any help would be helpful.....

Just keep only healthy food around. Most of your favorite foods can be really healthy. You said you like spaghetti so instead of the canned spaghetti hoops, get some whole grain spaghetti and a jar of sauce (Ragu Organic is really good) and maybe a little parmesan to sprinkle on top if you like, then you have a healthy meal that will fill you up instead of just being empty carbs. Being gay is a taboo for many people and sadly that's the choice YOU made. I'm not trying to sound cold or anything, it was brave of you to come out and admit the truth and you have a right to live your life the way you want and love WHO you want regardless of race, gender, age, etc. From a christian stand point, you really can't be a christian and be gay at the same time, at least that's the way I perceive it, but your family should accept your decisions and respect them whether they agree or not. I'm very sorry you have to go through this and it's very unfair to you that they are mistreating you like this. You could try having a long discussion about it with them and explaining how you feel and how it hurts you when they try to change you, because you are who you are and they should love you no matter what. If that doesn't work you could always try family counceling, and if nothing helps from there, unfortunately you may have to accept the fact that you won't be close to your family as long as you are gay, but that's better than living a lie.

HELP PLS!! my 2 months old has suddenly lost her appetite.?

For one, Colic is just a way of the Dr. saying "I don't know what's wrong so the baby'll just have to cry it out". Excess gas is just that, gas. At 2 months old, she's getting ready for a baby growth spurt. During spurts, baby's lose their appetites. I know all 3 of mine did. It's not too early to mix just a pinch of single grain rice cereal into her milk. It will set on her stomach longer and keep her happy longer.

Parking on a sidewalk?

I live in Pennsylvania and have a little problem. I live in a Duplex and lately the people who live on the other side have been parking on the sidewalk out front. I mean, literally on the sidewalk to where they are within an arms reach from the front of our shared porch. We have a driveway big enough to fit all three of their vehicles and the one we have so I'm having a hard time figuring out why she needs to park on the sidewalk out front. It's getting nice out and people can't take a walk or ride bikes because her car is in the way. Today they have all three of their vehicles out there, one on the sidewalk and the other two parked so close to the sidewalk one that if they were to try and get that one out, they would have to drive down the sidewalk quite a ways to do it because of all the vehicles that park out on the street here. The cops drive by and haven't done anything about it so she just keeps doing it. A HUGE problem I have with it is, she doesn't slow down to pull in. she pulls in at the same speed that she drives down the street at and slams on the breaks to stop. If she goes to far past where she wants to park, she puts it in reverse and SPEEDS backwards into the parkin. I'm terrified that when I'm getting my 4 year old off the pre school van that she's going to hit us. Or that she is going to end up in my living room if she keeps doing this. Our town cops are really no help because they have been over there for all kinds of things that other people call about and they just keep doing it without any real punishment. I'm at a loss. The state cops just tell us it's our town cops problem and the town cops don't do anything about it. Are we going to have to wait until she actually runs someone over? Im pretty sure parking on the sidewalk will net you a ticket but they never get one.

Has anyone found bad baby meat on the shelves?

I bought some little jars of meat the other day-one of each type to give my son. The ham, beef and veal all appeared to be an odd color when I opened them. I have now thrown them all out and the chicken and turkey were the only ones I could use. Has anyone else noticed this? Am I over-reacting? I don't have the means to cook meat and puree it for him, but I want him to have them. Is there a better brand than Gerber or should I just wait on it until he's older and give him something else and stick with just chicken and turkey for now? Yes, they should all contribute. The payment is for it to be there when you want it, not how much you use it. That's similar to what I was told when I said I felt guilty playing computer games on days I had nothing to do. My supervisor said I was hired for my knowledge and ability to do what was necessary when the need arises. So you pay for the TV to be available, not necessarily used 24/7.

So, at Garage today, I bought this ADORABLE top... it's a thick sweater type long sleeved shirt, it's light blue colored with light pink and purple flowers... so, the thing is, it's such a nice shirt, totally my style... but ummmm... it doesn't exactly fit. Okay, it does fit. But, I mean, I am a little large in the middle compared to everywhere else, and that's why I like to wear stuff like a solid colored tank top with a cardigan, because it doesn't bring much attention. But this shirt is kind of... gawdy I guess, and it does draw lots of attention, and I only bought it cause it was soooo adorable, and it was on sale for about 10 dollars and about to go out of stock. Anyways. I've also been trying to lose weight, and now I have a good reason. Of course, I won't lose enough weight to look good in the shirt right away, but it would be the perfect shirt for Valentines day. So, my workout plan was to do cardio 5 hours a week, (so like, one hour a day, minus two days) and on the two days where I don't do cardio I'd do a pilates video targeting the abs. And once I see some slight results, I'll start some situps and side bends, cause I know you're supposed to wait to burn the top layer of fat. And also, I'll eat healthier, not eat as much snacks... Hi everybody! Ok I so am a 21 year old female and having some trouble in school. Lately, I have noticed (well since I was a child) that when I have to read out loud I will end up forgetting to say some words. For instance if I had to read "See Jane run, oh how fast." I would say "See Jane, oh how fast" and I would end up having to read it again or improvise lol. I have trouble with typing, I can type very fast but have to always go backspace because I forget a letter or misspelled a word. I also have extremely poor penmanship or dysgraphia unless I take my absolute time I can write legible and neat. My whole life I would always have to rewrite everything because my teachers could never be able to read my papers. I know for a fact that I have a mathematics dyslexia because I have a horrible time with math, physics and get the symbols confused and I believe it is called dyscalculia? Even with my difficulties, my strongest subject is english and creative writing. I wonder if I might even have some form of autism since I do not like to be social and tend be selfish? I don't want to be because I do love people but I don't want to be around people or have guests over and prefer to be alone and have always been a little unsocial but I am trying to break out of my shell smile at everyone and welcome everyone. The only reason I am asking all these crazy questions is because it is getting in the way of my studies and with all the rewriting and double rechecking is taking forever to write an essay lol. I feel like I don't deserve a lot of the things I don't have?

I have a lot of things (tangible and intangible) in my life that I feel I don't deserve. My parents buy me these things, though, because they think I deserve them. They say that I'm a good daughter because I am smart and study hard and am at a reputable state U, I don't drink, smoke, or make other bad life decisions, and I don't ask for a lot in the first place. They recently bought me a car, and although I am very thankful for what they bought me and I like it a lot, I feel like I don't deserve something that expensive. I feel like I'm not doing enough. I don't have a job, although I plan to have an internship next spring, but I feel like I still don't contribute enough. While I believe that people have the right to refuse medical treatment, I do not believe that we (or doctors) have the right to terminate their lives. I believe only God has the right to do this. Who knows what purpose God has in mind for the person while they live? I am not unsympathetic to the pain of those suffering (I have watched a couple of people I love die slowly and painfully - it was horrible), but I just do not believe that we have the right to determine who lives and dies based on the physical condition of their body. If we allow this, how long will it be before we start making this decision for people - and how long before we make the decision based not on the physical condition of the person but on whether they are wanted. For the record I am from America (the Midwest if that is helpful.)

Herbs won't grow properly. Why not?

I am trying to grow chives, oregano, sorrell, sage, parsley, basil, mint, rosemary and thyme indoors. They all seem to germinate OK, but then when they get to a certain size they don't seem to be able to support themselves under their own weight and they lie down on the soil. I am using a peat compost and I did not compress it when I put it in the pots, so it's pretty fluffy in the pots and not too dense. Would this cause the herbs to sag down as they can't establish good roots maybe? The worst offender are the chives and the sorrell, but they are all doing the same thing to one extent or another. Has anyone any idea why they may be doing this? Also, I put all the herbs outside today for a few hours as it was nice and sunny and there was almost no wind, but some of the herbs totally lay down in the soil as if they were vampires or something. What am I doing wrong?

As for the other answers, they are all right to a certain point, but opium and the other hard drugs as they have been named are dangerous. Mostly vagetarian and otherwise athletic in health. Runs and walks almost regularly. Very fit. Weight 75 KG., Height 5' 6 1/2". Gujarati Hindu, Indian boy. If it is well contained to this area (Which the doctor says it looks to be) How likely is her chance of recovery? My Achilles Tendon Is Sore During Every Baseball Game?

My achilles tendon is always sore during every baseball game. I am thinking its the cleats. I would bat, hit the ball and run and then after that running to 2nd base or so (about 200 feet) that spot would be sore (constant) and when I put pressure on it. Also, if I am standing around in my regular shoes and then I take a sudden sprint, the same spot is sore. I try to stretch the calf but it dosent seem to work. I tried arch supports (raises arch, cushioned) but they either work or don't work. Its really annoying to have to focus on this and not the game.

ok so im 17 and for the past cyear ive had bad feelings that i can only descrie as anxiety. there is no specific reason for me to be anxious and i keep getting these anxious feelings that are uncomfortable. they are extremely hard to describe but there is no reason for me to have them. im not reacting to any thoughts and i keep getting this anxious feeling. there is absolutely no reason for me to have it. like i cant act one way to relive the anxiety because i always feel anxious and when i feel good i usually get these what if feelings of anxiety coming back. im not thinking anything consciously and i also think i have social anxiety that is hard to control aswell. what is this anxiety for no particular reason and why i it bothering me
