Having a Baby will fix chaotic relationship?

A friend of mine has been w/ her bf for about 8 years. They constantly bicker, always argue about money, he is always verbally abusive and putting her down. He has told her he doesnt belive in marriage and will never marry her. She is trying to get pregnant in anyway she can. Alll of f us think shes making a huge mistake but why do you think she would even CONCIDER getting pregnant by such a jerk?????????????? I am sooo confused?!
