Are there any countries in which democracy has been successfully imposed by a foreign military invasion?

I do not mean ex-colonies such as Australia or Canada which adopted the colonising power's democratic tradition but countries with no tradition of democracy where the government has been overthrown by a foreign power and a democratic system sucessfully and stably imposed.
