As a new kid in my sopre year of HS, will i be making a bad first impression?

I'm switching schools for my upcoming sopre year of high school. I'm hoping to make some new friends at my new school to make the times a bit easier. However, I drive a 1966 VW Van dressed up to look like the mystery machine from Scooby Doo and most of my T-shirts are those of my favorite bands/artists(Grateful Dead, The Doors, Phish, Sublime, 311, Bob Dylan, etc). I've been told that because of this people are going to ume that I'm a pothead. Will they? While, I have experimented with pot and hallucinogens in the past(and still do), I definitely wouldn't clify myself as a habitual drug user. I'm actually an all A student. If my current style makes me a "pothead", what can I do to make a better first impression while still being able to express myself?
