Help si vous plait!! i just don't know what to do?

ok so my friend the other day told me that this guy liked me. and that he had been talking to her about me. and aparently he thinks i'm super gorgeous and he really wants to talk to me but he hasnt' even really made an attempt yet. but what complicates matters is that the friend that told me that he likes me used to like him and they would talk for like hours on the phone but he would ignore her at school. and now she doesnt'want me talkin to him or even looking at him and she flips out everytime i even mention him. and then he has been asking all my other friends about me and we all think that the friend that used to like him still likes him. and thats why she's freaking. and now the friend that told me about him is acting totally out of control and completely bipolar like she's getting made at everyone for no reason and we all think she's totally out of control and now i'm kinda thinking about dating the guy that likes me just to make her mad. complicated i know. someone please help!
