Stuck in Relationship Limbo?

I really like this guy, and I thought it would be nice to help him with his crush since he doesn't return the feelings I have for him. And so I was trying to let go of my feelings for him, and then he said he loved me, and he wanted to kiss me. And I'm so confused, like, he wants to be with this girl, yet he says he loves me. And it kinda leaves a small spark in my heart that he wants to be with me. Idk what to do. :(
