How do I let him know that I know he likes me?

There's this friend of mine who I've only met a couple of times but we talk a lot on Myspace...let's call him "Charlie", and a few days ago another friend of ours, we'll call her "Candice", told me that Charlie has a huge crush on me. I had no idea. I guess the hints were there but I just never picked up on them. I've always though he was really cute and he's a nice guy. Well I tried asking Candice if she could maybe tell Charlie that I know he likes me and that I'm interested in him too, but she never told him. I want him to know but I don't want to keep asking Candice to tell him. So I was thinking of letting him know directly. How do I do this casually? I mostly talk to him on Myspace.
