How is the intellectual process short circuited with religious beliefs?

My answer: I don't see proof for the existence of those 6 things you mentioned. But I do see proof for a God. Even before I knew anything about Him, I always believed there had to be a Creator, because to me, it's irrational and illogical to think everything around us happened by pure chance and cirstance and luck. There is too much order and design and intelligence behind everything on the planet, and in the universe. I also know that things exist outside our visible spectrum and limited understanding. Science is a neverending search for Truth. We build and improve on what we've learned in the past. We probably won't ever know everything there is to know!
